(Note that we will have two seminars: one at 2pm and the other at 2:40pm)

Inverse patchy colloids (IPCs) are heterogeneously charged particles characterized by a non-trivial interplay between attractive and repulsive directional interactions [1].  I will focus on IPCs with two charged polar regions and one oppositely charged equatorial belt and present a novel and simple way to tune via external parameters the ordering of such IPCs under confinement in the vicinity of a possibly charged substrate [2,3].  I will also report about the bulk behavior of such systems, focusing on the effect of the parameters featured in the particle-particle interaction potential [4,5].
