The understanding of the in-vivo dynamics of HIV has been a challenge in virology, and mathematical modeling has come into play for quite sometime now. We shall discuss the global stability for a class of models introduced by Bangham, Bonhoeffer, May and Nowak, that take into account the effect of immune response and antigenic variation. As a byproduct, we shall also prove that immune response promotes antigenic diversity, as observed numerically by Bangham and Nowak (1996).
