Evolution is the process of change in the inherited traits of a population of organisms from one generation to the next. In this talk we introduce the Wright-Fisher model for the evolution of a single trait and show that this model is intrinsically multi-scale in time. For intermediate time it has one behavior, while for long times the behavior can be completely different. We will explore some numeric and mathematical issues in this model.
