CFTC: CFTC showcased at the X Jornadas de Engenharia Física at IST

CFTC was represented at the X Jornadas de Engenharia Física, where two of its members contributed with a research talk and a poster presentation.

CFTC was represented at the X Jornadas de Engenharia Física, held on 21 February at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Alameda Campus, through the participation of two of its members. 

Cristóvão Dias delivered the talk “Living Matter in Crowded Environments”, presenting research on the behaviour of living and active systems in complex and crowded environments. His contribution highlighted ongoing work within CFTC in the area of soft and active matter.

 CFTC was also represented by João Neves, who presented the poster “Kirigami, edge unfolding” during the poster session, showcasing research at the interface of geometry, physics, and materials design.

The participation of both researchers reflects the diversity of research being developed at CFTC and contributed to the centre’s presence within the broader physics and engineering community.
